Epson Launches Endeavor Na03 Mini Netbook

Epson has a launched a new netbook in Japan called the Endeavor Na03 Mini. This is an Intel Atom N470 powered netbook and has the Intel GMA 3150 graphics. It has a sleek look with a an emphasize on looking business like. It is not available anywhere else at the moment but that might change with time.

The Endeavor Na03 seems to be targeted primarily at the large corporate crowd in Japan. Hence, it has a polished piano black finish on the lid and the interior is a neutral shade of grey. It has black keys and has one visible problem in that area — the space-bar looks too small to be comfortable. The touchpad sits slightly depressed, demarcating it clearly from the rest of the surface. There seem to be only button to work with but it might be hiding two buttons — one on either end — like some of the netbook/notebook models that we have seen so far.

Over all, it has looks that are good enough for it to pass as an acceptable thing to have inside a boardroom. The Endeavor Na03 Mini’s specifications are also quite impressive. You get the Intel Atom N470 processor, running at 1.83Ghz and the graphics is powered by Intel’s GMA 3150 onboard graphics chip. The display is a 10 inch one with a resolution of 1024×600, which is pretty standard for this range. 1GB of RAM is all you are going to get when it comes to memory but you have a choice when it comes to storage. You can either get a 250GB HDD with the Na03 Mini or you can get a 64GB SSD. As usual, it is a toss up between space and speed. Choose wisely.

Connectivity is covered by the presence of 802.11b/g/n WiFi. Bluetooth is optional, which means they will charge you extra for it. It has 3 USB ports, 1 VGA and audio ports. It will be running on Windows 7 Starter Edition. For battery, you can choose between a 3-cell 2800 mAh or a 6-cell 5600mAh battery.
